Unless otherwise especially agreed by us in writing, the terms and conditions stated below apply to all transactions.

Where prices are shown as inclusive of VAT these are at the current rate. Prices will be adjusted accordingly should this rate change.

Delivery - The period quoted for delivery is a guideline only. The Old Radiator Company does not accept responsibility for delays caused by mis-instruction, manufacturing delays, strikes, traffic conditions or adverse weather. Delay times may be extended during the holiday periods and workshop closures. It is advisable that no installation should be arranged until the goods have been received and checked. The Old Radiator Company will not be held responsible for any arrangement of installation prior to receipt and acceptance of the goods and any charges therein.  Many of the goods we sell and supply are reclaimed or salvaged and as such are individual items. These items can be over 100 years old and will, in some instances, have minor imperfections that are characteristic of their age.

Once a delivery has been agreed either by phone or in writing and through no fault of The Old Radiator Company the delivery has to be aborted a further delivery charge of £125 + vat will be incurred by the customer and may result in a storage charge.

• Packaging is free and non-returnable.

• The goods must be checked and signed for in the presence of the carrier.

All products must be inspected once removed from the packaging and The Old Radiator Company notified within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages, scratches, blemishes or other damage. Imperfect radiators should, therefore, not be fitted and The Old Radiator Company will not accept responsibility for replacement of scratched or damaged radiators once they have been fitted. This includes any consequential loss or cost of fitting. If The Old Radiator Company are not notified within 48 hours of the date on the signed delivery note then it will be deemed that The Old Radiator Company have fully complied with its obligations and claims will not be considered.
• Failure to comply with any of the above may invalidate any claims.
• We recommend that after you check the product on delivery that it is stored in its packaging to prevent damage. The Old Radiator Company cannot accept responsibility for items damaged after delivery.

The Old Radiator Company will ensure that goods are delivered in good order and cannot accept any responsibility for any damages that occur after delivery. Signing of the delivery note will be determined as acceptance that goods have been delivered in good order at the time of delivery.

Deliveries by ourselves in a van or lorry are kerbside only and we do not accept any responsibility for damage to property if our driver is invited into the aforementioned property, this is at the customer’s own risk.

Drop Off and Collection - Radiators will be palletised and fork lifted into a suitable vehicle. This is under the clients insurance and supervision, The Old Radiator Company is not liable for any damage to a vehicle.

Radiators must be supplied on a pallet and will be fork lifted out of a suitable vehicle. Please contact us to arrange drop off and collection and to ensure your vehicle is suitable.

Guarantees and Liabilities - A one-year guarantee is given with the reclaimed radiators as purchased from The Old Radiator Company. This is subject to the product being installed by a competent person. The guarantees in all cases are restricted to the free of charge replacement or repair of the failed product only. Our liability does not extend beyond the repair or replacement of the product supplied by us. Claims for either labour or damage to property are not admissible.

It is important that you satisfy yourself that the condition, quality and function of the goods is suitable for the purpose and use required. If you are not sure then you must advise.

Due to the fact we do not know the history of customer supplied radiators for refurbishment the guarantee does not extend to these items.

The Old Radiator Company cannot be held responsible for the damage caused to radiators if the system is subjected to freezing conditions and for any consequential loss or subsequent costs arising from this damage.

Cast iron radiators are very heavy and are supplied by The Old Radiator Company in one piece ready to be installed by your plumber. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the radiator can be moved into its final location.

Please be aware there is a gasket between the sections of radiator. If during the movement of very long radiators to the final location in the customer’s house the radiator is bent ie to go around a narrow, angled staircase this may cause the radiator to leak, this will not be covered by the warranty.

Unless otherwise stated any reducing bushes or fittings in the radiator have been “made in” and should not be removed. Removing these bushes invalidates any warranty/guarantee.

In the case of accessories, such as valves and brackets, being returned in an unused and sound condition within 7 days a restocking charge of 20% will be deducted from the refund, which will be the invoice price of the goods plus any carriage costs incurred. No returns will be accepted after 7 days. New goods, which prove to be faulty in manufacture, will be replaced subject to such goods being returned in the same condition as delivered.

Consequential LossThe Old Radiator Company accepts no responsibility for any consequential loss or subsequent costs howsoever arising from the use of new or reclaimed materials supplied by The Old Radiator Company.

(Bottom Bottom Opposite End) connections as standard. The radiator bushes fitted to the radiator at time of refurbishment will be 15mm unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering and informed in writing (email is fine).

Paint Finishes - There may be a slight variation in the colour of the delivered radiator/s from the colours shown on the website and colour charts. This is due to manufacturing tolerances in the paint or light conditions of any photographs taken showing the examples of the finishes we can supply.

Adjusting Pipe Work Prior To Delivery - Whilst we endeavour to ensure all pipe centre dimensions supplied are correct, tolerances must be considered, therefore, we strongly recommend that pipe work is not altered or adjusted until the radiator is fixed in its final position. The Old Radiator Company will not accept any responsibility for any claims relating to inaccurate pipe centre information. The radiator dimensions quoted do not include for the bushes.
