About Us

A Unique Collection Of Heritage Cast Iron Radiators

The Old Radiator Co. is a treasure trove of reclaimed cast iron radiators. Part of Castrads since the beginning of 2024, the collection includes British and American castings from the leading manufacturers of the 1890s up to the 1920s.

At Castrads, we’ve specialised in custom-made cast iron radiators for the past 20 years, but our roots lie in architectural salvage. Introducing restored antique radiators to our range brings the company full circle, as we continue to celebrate the enduring beauty of original, century-old radiators.

Cast Iron For The Modern Home

Our logo is inspired by the decorative timberwork of Underbank Hall, a 16th-century house in the historic centre of Stockport, our home town.

This symbol of our home unites our three brands: bespoke cast iron radiators by Castrads, antique reclaimed radiators by The Old Radiator Co. and British-made cast iron cookware by Hornbeam.

Home is at the heart of everything we do. We’re about comfort and warmth, cooking and eating: the things that make your house a home.

Why Choose Reclaimed Radiators?

Choosing a restored antique radiator from the Old Radiator Company collection allows you to heat your home with an impressive piece of engineering history that also carries an exceptionally low carbon footprint.

By giving these historic pieces a second life, you are investing in the lasting value of cast iron – a material that stands the test of time and brings intrigue to your interiors.

Professional, Trusted and Sustainable

The Old Radiator Company is proud to be a member of the Salvo Code, a world-leading assurance for good practice in the reclamation trade.

As part of this peer-reviewed community, we commit to upholding the highest standards in the sourcing and sale of architectural salvage. The Code exists to give buyers greater confidence—ensuring that reclaimed items have not been stolen or taken from protected historic buildings without the necessary permissions.

The crane logo, displayed here, is a mark of vigilance and ethical practice. As a Salvo Code business, we fully support its mission to promote sustainability through responsible reclamation and reuse.
